We don’t don our wellies in a bid to win awards; we do it because we love making beer. Pure and simple, we love it. It’s a beautiful thing. Awards do put a smile on our faces though, especially when the nod of approval comes from the respected Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA). When our Fellowship Porter was voted ‘Best Porter in the South East’ by SIBA in 2011, it was a massive surprise to us because we were only a year old. But fast forward a year to 2012 and imagine our utter shock at winning three cask ale awards for our Big Chief and Hopspur. We didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Keep an eye out for the beers at your north London local; they’re the ones proudly puffing out their chests, wearing the SIBA awards toppers.

Big Chief – Overall Champion of the Competition
Big Chief – Gold Medal (Strong Bitter Category)
Hopspur – Gold Medal (Premium Bitter Category)
